Tutor Highlights

I want them to know they're capable.

Nafisa, a first-year student at NYU, tutors 4 children in reading and writing. Most of her students are intimidated by writing assignments. Nafisa changes that by building every lesson around what the student already cares about. Nafisa:

Designs writing lessons around each student's personal interests so they actually want to write

Builds independent writers who don't freeze when she's not in the room

None of us are
left behind.

Alina, a first-year student at Hunter College, was matched with a 7th grader preparing for the SHSAT exam.

Before meeting her student, Smarts4Heart equipped Alina with:

A shared resource hub with SHSAT-specific materials

A 4-week roadmap template to structure and track her student's progress

She was excited to tell me about her exam results.

Ariel, a sophomore at Colgate University, has tutored the same student— Sophia — for two years, starting when Ariel was still in high school. Here are the moments that stick with Ariel the most:

Watched Sophia go from dreading tests to excitedly sharing her scores

Saw her stamina and focus visibly build session by session over two years
