👋 Hey parents! Diving deeper into the school year, one of our goals is to emphasize not only the services we provide, but the positive impacts your children benefit from! The skills your child builds may not be obvious at first, but with time your children definitely gain perspective with each session and their tutor/babysitter.
Speaking up 🗣️
You may not know it, but children are very expressive no matter their personality. Whether they’re shy or super outgoing, they will find a way to emphasize their needs in a certain form. As they connect with their sitter or tutor, they will naturally discover how to transform their thoughts into words!
Independence 👍
The feeling of having a sitter provides children the perfect sense of independence mixed with guidance. Children look up to their sitter and the leadership a sitter has. I know that when I was younger, I always aspired to be as “cool” and responsible as my sitter. This feeling has led me to become my own leader simply by beginning to start simple tasks on my own without needing to be pushed.
Handling Emotions 🤗
Melting down may be a natural occurrence at home, but in front of a sitter, no child wishes to pass time with tears. Children want to make the best of their time with a sitter! The melt downs will pass and soon be feelings of excitement.
Problem-Solving 💡
A Smarts4Heart sitter or tutor knows to provide children a sense of confidence and not allow them to give up right away. From attempting to win a board game or solve a math problem, children will discover the ability to work step-by-step.
Connection 🤝
No matter the age of a child, they will find ways to trust their sitter/tutor based on a foundation of support and communication. Let them explore this trust sooner rather than later!
🍎 We know these skills seem simple, but in the eyes of the Smarts4Heart team, these skills are truly evident in children and develop with each session! By trusting us we ensure you that your child will grow in skill you can be proud of.
