A Must Know Framework for Homework 📝👩‍🏫

While there’s many ways to tackle homework, the framework known as “I do, we do, you do” has evidentially helped the more than 50 kids the team of Smarts4Hearts has tutored.

Step 1: “I do”

The first part is teaching your student the “How to” of solving the work and walking them through your thinking process.

Step 2: “We do”

Before letting your student try on their own, try a similar problem together! This time, let them lead, and if they are still struggling, here is the time you can note where they are having difficulty.

Step 3: “You do”

Finally, after answering their questions, supporting their struggles, and giving reassurance, your job is to let your student try solo and figure out a similar question on their own!

Tackling homework doesn’t need to be challenging. As long as a strong system is made, going through any problem with your student/child will be a lot smoother!
